Need help for material specification

Dear sir,

In pen moulding,SAN material use for pen barrel and PC material use for pen cap. What is material technical specification that SAN use for barrel and PC use for cap?

Sir,

SAN is generally used as the abbreviation for Santoprene, a rubber-like substance which can be injection moulded. Likewise PC usually refers to Polycarbonate , the same stuff they use for helmet visors, although this would seem to be over the top for a pen as it is expensive and more difficult to process than most engineering plastics.

If this looks like the answer you can google the materials for further spec's.

Welcome M Daniels, good to see you here.

For most "casual" posters here on CR4, we are the lazy answer to google or wikipedia.

We are forever referring people to 1479648 answers in 0.21 seconds and the first 10 on the first page all answer the question in more detail than we ever could.

This is something we need to live with but other than that we are having fun here so hope you do too.
