Power generation calculations

04/05/2008 11:00 PM

Can anybody guide how to calculate power generation calculations theoretically if steam conditions are given.Though I agree that it may vary with specific conditions pertaining to speicfic unit but i would like to know theoritical procedure considering following parameters:

HP steam at 32 kg/cm2 "g" & 420 deg.C

Extraction at 11 kg/cm2 "g",255 deg C

Extraction at 4 kg/cm2 "g",200 deg.C

Condensing at 0.1 ata,45.43 deg.C

If it can be explained with Moiler chart drawing it would be helpful.

You need read "Fundamentals of Thermodynamics" from Van Wylen.

There is a chapter dealing that.
