If you're talking about what I think you are, it's not really hypersonic; that's just a marketing name. It's "focused" or directional. Not too terribly different from the effect you get at St. Paul's Gallery.

I believe you're 100% on the button. Focused ultrasonic waves for directional sound transmission. But hypersonic, Instead of an oxymoron I think I would have used,FUSWFDST. Maybe I should copyright that? That is if I can ever figure out how to pronounce it.
