2SD2251 Horizontal Deflection Output substitute

04/06/2008 7:14 AM

Hi Mates,

I have a old fashion 29" CRT TV, uses Sanyo 2SD2251 horizontal deflection driver, which burnt and blown several high voltage E-Caps. I searched this driver, almost all told me that there is no such stuff in the market now although they all know what it is, except a small shop in Hong Kong gave me BU4508DX as a substitute, but it did not work.

Would anyone please kindly let me know if you have experienced such a burnt and you know the really working substitute? I call Sanyo in Hong Kong, they just denied to supply such component on whatever cost because my TV is not a Sanyo, although it is Japanese!

Appreciate your helps!

Cheers,

AC.

Where are you located? There are two sites here in the U.S. that claim to have them to sell.

Tom,

Thanks a lot, I am now in Hong Kong! Do they do sales on web? Do they have a site address I can browse? What recommendation you have?

Thanks a lot.

Cheers,

AC.

Here's the two I found. I've never heard of, or dealt with the first. I've actually ordered parts from Electronix in the past.

http://www.ciconelectronics.com/2sd2251.html

http://www.electronix.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?ELECTRONIX_CATALOG_SESSID=170408b449acd444206c1d6b8965ff85&keywords=2sd2251

That sencond link might not work (too long), but if you go to electronix.com and search for the part, it shows it as available. Good luck.
