torsional constant

what is torosional constant???????? i have moment of inertia about 2 different axes. can i calculate torosional constant with the help of moment of inertia abt two different axes........explanation

You can calculate the Polar Moment of Inertia from those two moments, but not the Torsional Constant, except for special geometries.

You might start by looking at Omer Blodgett's Design of Welded Structures, avaliable from Lincoln Welding.
