bwire,

The seeds need to be dried under sunlight in the drying yard for about five hours to bring down the moisture in seed.Drying of seeds before crushing in expeller enables better outturn of oil.

For this,we are presently conveying the seeds manually which is so laborious and much of spillage is experienced.

To avoid this we are looking for a pumping system to convey the seeds through pipes similar to that of liquid pumping.

Requirement:

Quantity to be conveyed:24 tonnes

distance to be conveyed:200 feet

georaphical location :south india

Regards

Suggest use an auger inside of tube. We use them to move grain etc., up down and linear.

A pneumatic conveying system might work. Some vacuum-type modular units with a built-in cyclone or bag filter (located before the final conveyor fan) should be available on-line for sale or rental. Would suggest Google "pneumatic conveying systems".

I'm not sure where you are located, but a good agriculture supply company should be able to locate a new or used grain vacuum. These have been used for transfering grain from bins into trucks for many years. An auger would be more likely to damage your seed with its moving parts.
