	Hi All, What will be capacitance (Micro Farads or fardads) of 1KVar capacitor for 220V on single phase. Thanks in advance

	Hey, this is pretty easy!! 1KVAR means that the volts times the reactive current equals 1000. so at 220V, the current is 1000/220 Amps So the impedance is 220 * 220 /1000 ohms You can calculate the capacitance from the impedance using the forumla Xc = 1/(2pif*c) You can find more power factor formula at power factor calculations Best regards, Mark.
