Heat Wave Threatens Vegetable Supplies

07/28/2006 12:00 PM

High temperatures in Europe are causing vegetables to mature more quickly than farmers can pick and package them. In Britain, the Processed Vegetable Growers' Association (PVGA) predicted that yields of peas, broad beans, cauliflower and spinach could drop 20%. In Poland and Hungary some crops are expected to be 40% below normal yields. Do we need "anti-greenhouse" equipment for agriculture?

Ripeness Stickers

Maybe they should slap some of those Ripeness Stickers on from the previous article so that they can know when to pick them.
