What Happened to the Safety Electrical Equipment Corporation?

Safety Electrical Equipment is Star Electric from my research. At least the government has them categorized as the same vendor. A quick google of Star in New Haven produces a couple different companies, but at least you have a start.

Safety Electrical Equipment Corp. moved to one of the Carolinas in the late 1980's.

I was working for them in Wallingford, CT when they moved. I have heard a rumor that they were purchased by a Japanese company, but have no actual knowledge of this.

I worked for Stone Safety In Toronto in the late 80's, We made dc to dc converters, aircondintioning and other sub systems for passenger rail traffic vehicles. Our sister company was located in Wallingford CT. Our plant moved to Greensville NCwhen free trade was implemented. As I recall Stone Safety was a merger between Stone Corp. and Safety Electrical years before my employment there.
