If it is 12VDC why not check out the people who make car central locking systems!

They come in a size of about 100mm * 100mm *80mm

If you want to go smaller or maybe better quality, try a search here on Globalspec! (you may need to register on Globalspec but it is painless! )

I saw a very small diaphragm compressor pump on ebay the other day which was about the size of the buttons on your keyboard! (assuming your keyboard has regular sized buttons and not some hybrid thing with buttons the size of a plate!)

Another one to try is the custom bike building scene. They often have air suspension on chopped Harley's to lower the whole bike for that super cool low rider look

I don't think it is that cool but they use some pretty nifty little compressors.

There are plenty of 12 volt air compressors available. What we need to know is what you need from the compressor you want to find. There are small units that have low pressure and low pressure capabilities. There are also compressors that have large volume and higher pressures. Please tell us what demands will be placed on this compressor. Thank you.

Some US auto parts stores and catalogs will sell 12VDC compressors with cigarette lighter plug to top off the auto's tire pressure. Try www.jcwhitney.com for example.

The two names that I am aware of in the manufacturer of 12 volt air compressors are Thomas and Gast. These are high quality units that are up to hard industrial use. You might want to go to www.thomasairpac.com , and www.gastmfg.com Between the two, there are over a dozen 12 volt models. If larger compressor size is needed, consider a 12 volt to 115 volt inverter.
