I commend your assertion that you are "to be the supplier of choice etc.", however, from extensive practical experience, the best insect screen material for most purposes is fine coated stainless steel. One of the biggest failings of fibreglass mesh is its susceptibility to any vermin with teeth. We were forever having to repair holes in our fibreglass screens where rats and carpet snakes continued to penetrate it, also dog's claws tended to rip it. Since we have been using SS screens we have not had any of these problems. We notice also that light permeability is better with the SS mesh, as it exhibits much less electrostatic attraction to dust and fibre particles that eventually reduce the light permeability markedly. Another serendipity of the SS mesh is its ability to fend cinders and ash from bushfires without melting or weakening. The SS mesh also reduces the amount of radiant bushfire or sun heat that passes the screen.

Altogether I believe that fine wire SS insect screens are far superior to any fibreglass product.

With the possible exception of denting. Metal screens tend to dent whereas fiberglass have some resiliency. Six of one, half dozen of the other. Fiberglass is less expensive to the consumer and maybe a better value.

I keep wondering why someone doesn't manufacture multilayer window screens with a bug repellent (similar to that being used for malaria prevention in mosquito netting) as a means of bug control.
