How to select and how calibrate.

If i want use rosemount DP transmitter. one leg fill with glycol another will measure close scrubber level (DP)

With the Specific Gravity of both liquids in each leg, calculate the pressure in each leg at the xmtr. Take the difference between the two legs and calibrate your xmtr to to 0% at this pressure. Remember, if there is more pressure on the low side of the xmtr, you have a suppressed range and need to apply the pressure to the low side of the xmtr when calibrating.

Whatever might be the filling liquid, at zero level the dp you get, that will be your LRV & Take 100% level the dp you get that you put as URV.

Vijay Shindle.you are going to have what we call a wet leg, so with no level the transmitter is going to have a negative reading which will be equal to the height of the wet leg times the specific gravity of the liquid in it. let's say that the height is 100" and the S.G. is 1 that will give you -100" of water as your ZERO. let's say that you are going to measure 100" of condensate level and it's S.G. is .89 this equals to 89" of water.the difference of the two is -11. so in this case the calibration will be -100" of water(zero) to -11" of water(span), I hope you find this helpful and not too confusing.regards
