HRSGs and Auxiliaries Specification

06/03/2008 12:06 AM

Hi,

I am working for an engineering and construction industry that specializes in power and desalination station for power plant. I've been recently assigned on HRSGs and auxiliaries to search three devices that include a pipe centering device for welding, pipe welding and cutting lathe, and valve seat machining device. I have to admit I'm just new in this business so I am not quite familiar with these devices. To begin with, I want to get the detail information of these 3 items so I can start contacting the vendors for a quote. Any suggestions on how to get the technical details as well as the contact information? Any helpful information that you can provide me with will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Richard S.

After a short search to find out what an HRSG was (and there are several possibilities, but I'm guessing Heat Recovery Steam Generator from context - PLEASE learn to spell things out first time through!), I found http://www.hrsgusers.org/. Using Google to search on "pipe welding equipment" (in quotes) returned 22,800 pages in English, and the first few I read looked like they'd provide you with considerable information. See, for example, http://www.powerprod.com/PipelinerIIWeldHeads.htm. "Valve seat machining" will flood you with internal combustion engine related products, but there is some useful content, such as http://www.teamindustrialservices.com/vrs/default.html. Adding +pipe OR+industrial to the search criteria helped; try http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=SUNA,SUNA:2006-50,SUNA:en&q=%22valve+seat+machining%22+%2bpipe+OR%2bindustrial
