what is the formula to find out the motor gear ratio?

Simple.

Let A be the number of teeth on the larger gear.

Let B be the number of teeth on the smaller gear.

Calculate C = A / B

Gear ratio is expressed as "<C>:1", for example "20:1".

If you are looking at a completed gear reducer and don't want to open it just turn the input shaft and count how many times you have to turn it to get the output shaft to make one full turn.
