Screen/ Shielded Earth Cable

Hi All,

I am considering putting in screen/shield cables for all new VVVF drives installed on site. One question that gives me different answers is the earth cables. Is it an overkill to install screen earth cables as well, on top of the screen power cables of course. Maybe some standards or experience on the using or not using of screen earth cables. Thanks

Yes, it would be an overkill for the earth cable to be screened.

And, remember to ground the screen cable (for driving motor) at both ends i.e motor end and drive end.
