Adding Station (Siemens S7 CPU315-2 PN/DP) to a existing Subnetwork (Ethernet)

When adding Station (Siemens S7 CPU315-2 PN/DP) to a existing Subnetwork (Ethernet)...do i stil have to use Siemens Eternet CP (eg. CP 343-1)? The existing network, the connection type is ISO Transport Connection
