Steel prices have been chasing around just like gasoline - they need to be updated constantly - I believe the market is temporarily stabilizing - that includes the disparity between domestic and import, transportation costs figure into this as well as tarriffs at the border - a great advantage for US steel - I receive current quotes and also have a column in my spreadsheet to allow for further anticipated market fluctuations (i.e. x 1.15) so that I'm covered in my bids - The stock market is for real, we're just playing it at street level - I regularly solicit quotes and am prepared to adjust the percentage of increase based on the time out for actual implementation of the project based on whatever information I have available - In other words, I'm just guessing like everyone else, hoping my info is more accurate - I hope this helps - ICE
