Electrical Main Switch

06/24/2008 11:31 PM

I'd like to know about Electrical Main Switchboard and which types of load are need to be installed shunt trip, preferential trip. I'd also like to know about the function of these trip? How about insulation resistance monitoring?

Finally, how can I make testing Electrical Main Switchboard?

The IEEE engineer in charge of the project will design accordingly.

Ask them, your boss, or take up electrical engineering at a reputable chartered university.

Electrical Mains are no place for amateurs.

Yikes

You do know that a basic Main Switchboard is just an assemble of overcurrent

protective devices don't you?.

When you get into:

Shunt trip - Shut down on signal from ???????

or Preferential Trip - Load shedding on the basis of ???

some detailed analysis of the power needs of the whole project are involved.

We generally get well paid for jobs of that magnitude.

(Insulation resistance is periodically tested as part of a maintenance schedule.)
