Miniature Tracking Device

09/08/2006 7:07 AM

Hello everyone, This is my first post so don't flame me if I'm not doing something right :-) Anyhow, I need to know if there's a miniature tracking device that I can hide inside a metal case and it'll still be "visible". Obviously that device will consist of an integrated gps / gsm module and must be remotely configurable (e.g. it should be possible to change the frequency of location updates on the fly). I've done a search on the internet but they said their device would not be visible inside a metal case. Please advice if you know something that might be useful. Cheers, Limpho Mothae

Tracker

you should be able to put your tracker in a metal container with out problem as long as you run an antenna outside the container. If you want to be sneaky you can coil it like they do with RFID tags and place it on the back of a sticker that sits on the outside with a small hole drilled trough the container.
Just my $.02

Innovative tracking devices

09/10/2006 5:51 PM

Hi, Anyone that can help with this questions will be much appreciated. I was wondering if there exist anytype of tracking device, (like a sticker or microchip) that you can place on someone or something and find it--kind of like James Bond. I am looking for a very small sticker/microchip/anything that I could put on something and track it down. Any ideas? Jared

Yeah, I got the same question on my mind.

I`m trying to eliminate a mail-thief by placeing such a chip inside a dvd case but probably no such a cool thing exists at the price average guy can aford.

or, simply we`ve seen mission impossible way too many times.

ps. bleeping dvd thiefs !!!

If your dvd's are being taken from your mailbox, call the Postal Inspector and let him know. They'll catch him (or her) without your having to do anything. Tampering with the mail is a Federal offense.
