Micro master Siemens Inverter420.

Need more info,HP,voltage ,what kind of work,where is it installed,Fuse/breaker sizes,is it fused??!!

Contactor with a VFD/VSD?-Hope it is control and not line voltage. I looked at the 420 Siemens and it's rated from 1A to 26A or up to 15hp motor.

I hope this isn't the case, but are you using the the VFD as a SCR and switching to across the line(to run) for a soft start(which the VFD will do out of the box)? The VFD-contactor melt-down and then breaker trip causes some confusion.

Mostly 90% Inverter damge when machine stop .when inverter module damge then magnetic contacter point melt because module in put or out put short circuit (inside module ) in this very heavy current flow & point melt& breaker trip . other wise magnetic contacter no problem any time.

Looks like there may be trouble communicating clearly--

Machine stop--Stop normally or does one portion jam and bring the rest down?

Inverter and Magnetic starter hooked to separate motors?

Do you have a motor pushing or pulling the motor hooked to the VFD/inverter(Possibly overloading the DC buss)?

Can you draw a simple diagram of the circuit where the problem is?

friend, inverters are generally damaged by harmonics in the system, solution: improove your grounding system, analyse your power system to find out the hamonics level, identify equipments generation harmonics, filter the harmonics, at imput/ output of inverter connert filter/ choke. - (posted by kadex)

I have already Inverter In put & out put Filters But my problem not solved . I use 5 kw motor INVERTER 7.5 KW.

Does the load have a high inertia load regenning back into inverter? If so inverter should just trip on high DC buss voltage,Do you have braking resistors connected? as stated a diagram would help.

Pls give us the part number of that inverter e.g. 6SE6420.......... and at the same time carryout the harmonic analysis of your system.

Hello guest, why don't to refer this problem to Siemens who have supplied the equipment or you are afraid of telling them about the overloading you are doing? Tell the truth and get it solved through them. You may need some higher capacity inverter with the same footprint, by footprint I mean dimensions of the jack module remain same.
