Hurricane Florence?

09/11/2006 12:25 PM

The Hurricane currently bearing down on Bermuda is "Florence" (F). I'm confused because Hurricane John (J) passed over the US southwest a couple of weeks ago?

Pacific Ocean Hurricane

I belive John originated in the Pacific Ocean. Those hurricanes are named seperately from the ones that originate in the Atlantic Ocean (I think).
