Situation Analysis: Portable Biofuel Energy Technology: Bioreactor Design
Portable Energy Technologies built on the base technology of biofuel process- when designed to qualify as consumer-operator well-engineered process technology - has applicability in the production of automobile fuels by consumer for use by consumers. The design of such portable energy technology, besides being built from the engineering designs for Ethanol-Fuel Distributed Power Generation Systems and therefore complying with the specification for such power generation systems, also has to comply with additional Specifications. One such specification is the choice of substrate, as lactose. Read more...http://www.gbanalysts.com/Reading%20Room/Situation%20Analysis/ConsumerTechs/portableenertechbioreactor.html

"The consumer has to arrange with dairy products companies to have the supply of the whey on a regular bases."

HA! HA!

Technology as symptom and dream.

SO now the consumer has to own a tanker for whey or sugar cane liquor so he can make his own power. for his cute little "consumer-operator well-engineered process technology -production of automobile fuels by consumer for use by consumers" system.

Great!

Thats like the folks that think that recycling shortening from fast food companies is the answer to the high cost of auto fuel/energy crisis... For the guy who owns the hamburger joint- perhaps.and maybe his neighbor.

Analysis should include about Scale as well as technology.

Scale IS part of the Analysis.

"Why no dear landlord, the apartment lease does not forbid my hauling gallons of dairy whey up the elevator in carboys to my personal bioreactor. The neighbors are complaining about the spillage and the smell? Oh. I see."

Technology as symptom and dream.

Actually in the original plan there was room for a Distribution Company to handle the transaction, including the arrangement for the whey, if the homeowner prefers; of course for a fee. You know how it is with needs.

I see a closed loop at sscale like Anheuser busch uses for brewing waste products to eliminae BOD before discharge rather than consumer conversion of bio wastes. Whats the beefit on moving fuel around a couple more times/ Beside smaking the ultimate rsdiue disposal on the consumers tab, rather than the dairy/

Cst shift in the guise of energy independence?

Some people are already setting up small scale ethanol production plants in their homes to make fuels for themselves. I surmise from that, that more homeowners would be interested in making their own fuel if they can. So we are suggesting to them well-engineered design that they can use. In course of that the consideration was to turn them away from using sugar by suggesting whey water which is available in large quantities, and just may not increase the cost of food as would sugar.

Also, the negotiation with Anheuser Busch can always be restricted to getting just the waste water which will consist of just water and Lactose - the sugar from which the biofuel is made. However, if you prefer to use sugar, you may.
