double deck floating roof tank design

usually rotation of double deck roof is not allowed and it even rotation is restricted by using anti rotational devices.this is as far as i knew correct me if i am wrong

can u please suggest me how to deciede in between double deck and single deck roofs

Thanks for your comment. Usually double deck floating roof is used for obtain more buoyancy. When a pontoon does not provide enough. Then for large diamater tanks (more than 60-70m) we have to use double deck, although I 've designed double deck for even 44 & 34m ID because of client request. Also it is better to use them for small diameter floating roofs (less than 6m)
