Remember the Bionic Woman? She's here.

For those of you that remember the '70's TV series, the technology is getting closer. USA Today has a story about former Marine Claudia Mitchell, who lost her arm in a motorcycle accident has received a new $4 million experimental bionic arm. Doctors re-routed the nerves from her missing arm to muscles in her chest, which she now uses to control the new arm. Very cool.

Bionic replacement arms? Hmmm. Maybe there's hope for the Red Sox pitching staff after all.

The Bionics very cool, although those sprints by the steve auston seemed remarkably close to causing spine breaking contortion, like reving up on a motor bike sitting straight up. I'd imagine if that was set of real bionic legs (instead of computer drivien animated reality) then your torso would be flapping in the breese behind the hip joints. so best to put some acceleration limiters on those legs.
