Zero Sequence Impedance

07/26/2008 3:47 AM

Dear All,

Could anyone please expalin me about Zero Sequence Impedance? And what is the difference between Positive, Negative and zero sequence impedance?

I have searched through internet for an hour. But i'm really confused about the chapter. I want to understand clearly the concept and how to do testing and calculate the same in power cables after laid.

I really appreciate if anyone please give me the related weblinks which clearly explaining about it.

Thanks in advance

There is not enough room on this forum to do what you are asking. This subject is taught at the graduate level in college. Suggest you Google your subject. There are a number of site that address this are of electrical engineering.

You can find a basic explanation about symmetrical components on the following link:

but this is impedance and changes with the severity of the fault isnt it? But these values are given and constant for transformers as far as I know, I am right that this value is dependent on the type of the fault in terms of the resistance of the fault point?
