Green Design for Distribution Centers

07/31/2008 7:19 PM

For those interested in green building design for distribution centers and warehouses, ResinDek EF is a mezzanine floor panel product made with no urea-formaldehyde containing additives and has been lab tested to less than 0.05 ppm.

These panels are eligible for LEED Credits EQ 4.4 in addition to MR 4.1, 4.2, and potentially 5.1, 5.2 within 500 miles of Louisville, Kentucky.

You can find out more by going to http://www.resindek.com.

The entire DC environment seems opposed to the sustainable movement and there are too many "rules of thumb" that are followed to allow the entrance of green practices. Outside of building construction how can we incorporate sustainable design into the operation of a DC?
