Min.% marks to get admission in ME Or M.Tech

You should get a minimum of 80 percentile in your gate score to get admission for MTech in any one of the government instituion . The percentile is different from percentage of marks and it is based on the number of people attending the exam and maximum marks scored by the candidate . For eg if have scored the highest marks in the exam you will get 100 percentile .

To get qualified in the top government institutions you should get above 90 percenftile and with 80 percentile you cna get admitted to some private instituions there in India. Below 80 percentile it is very difficult to get admission .

This scenario was 2 years back and now I hope things might have changed a lot .
