EDM Texture (VDI 3400 / 36)

Hi,

I having problem to qulaified for EDM texture (VDI 3400/36) where my self no have guidence or inspected for this type texture.

Sir,

Could any body assist me how to qulify this type texture and pls. advice if any reference available.

If you buy an EDM machine from a good manufacturer like Charmill, they will give you a visual comparator. For Charmill, if you set the cutting parameters per what is recommended, the surface finishes shall be the same as what the comparator shows. You can also buy one from Tesa. Visit Tesa (now own by Brown and Sharpe) to see if they have the comparator. One supplier is http://www.acemikron.com

Hi Mattew,

Yes, we agreed but we should know the STD for EDM texture as well before we purchase in the mchine or any std reference. I guess. Pls. help and assist.
