08/09/2008 12:12 PM

Hi

I calcualte heat Of reaction and gibbs energy from Shomate Equation and I refer

Nist DATA, But most of the time i not get data for some chemicals. If you know where

i will get JANAF TABLE /or please tell me method to calculate heat Of reaction and gibbs free energy at any temperature

Thank you

Vikram

Hi vikram,

How have you deduced that this energy is free?

spencer, GIBBS FREE ENERGY is a scientific defenition of G= H-TS thus Gibbs Free Energy = Enthalpy - Temp*Entropy. This defines the amount of FREE energy in a reaction that is available to use and to be put to work.It is just there in the reaction, it is not made , it is not chemically produced, it conforms.

Wel Dear I know the fundamentals.Iam technologist, Its my First job to study feasibility of reaction at different Temperature.wheather reaction is feasible or not.

for that i require Janaf Table, presentaly I use NIST DATA BASE
