How to develop FPGA 16X16 CLB structure from 4X4 Switch Matrix.

08/10/2008 1:13 AM

Hello all,

Pls send me e-mail or site name where it deals with " Development of FPGA consisting of 16X16 CLB structure from 4X4 multilayer CLB addressed by 4X4 Switch Matrix", though 8X8 to 32X32 CLB arrays are available in market.I have 4X4 switch matrix in "MXALUK001" FPGA kit. Is it required to compile by mensioning (.UCF file) i.e packages pin numbers.

thanks

Manas

I don't really know what a "CLB structure" is, havn't heard that term before.

What package are you using for your multilayer design? don't they have sample designs similar to what your looking for?

Have you checked design data sheets for the particular devices you wish to use? also planned the tracking layouts that will be able to handle the currents you wish to run on those tracks?

And lastly, the testability of the circuit, cause, once its built, you would still like to be able to test the functionality at the assembly stage.
