how often should gaskets of plate heat exchanger be replaced ?

The short answers are:

  1. if they don't leak, don't replace them
  2. it is general practice that whenever gasket surfaces are taken apart that a new gasket is put in place

Now, for the hard part: what type/material of gasket should you be using, well that can't be answered with the lack of information.

Hello Kyehia

The rule of thumb is:

- if the plate heat exchanger is open for inspection or maintenance is recommended to replace the gasket set to ensure a new cycle of operation.
