Simulating Wind Power and Wind Speed

08/21/2008 2:48 PM

We are planning to design a control circuit to reach maximum energy conversion of a wind turbine. for this at first we are trying to make some tests. one of them is to have a wind characteristics simulation. how can we simulate variable wind power into computer, and draw the wind speed values?

If you are capable of designing a system such as you mention, you should know the answers to your questions.

You said...

"how can we simulate variable wind power into computer, and draw the wind speed values?".

Rephrase this question as it does not make sense.

Hi again, I mean;

How can we transfer the variable wind speed values into computer platform to draw the wind characteristic curve?

Contact the TVA .

One thing is for sure the wind speed put more pressure in the bolts that hold the blades on they will shear off and the blades will be flying. Thats why most wind mills have a brake to stop the blades from turning.
