the volume flowrate, Q, is given by Cross-sectional area A multiplied by velocity, V.

= AV

The mass flow rate is given by the volume flowrate Q multiplied by the density d of the fluid = Qd

with an orifice plate lb/hr = 1.0618 * SQRT( hw * rho) * Orifice Constant
