40 ton hydraulic press

sir,

i would like to design a 40 ton hydraulic press so i need a design calculation

1- cylinder size selection

2-power pack size volume calculation

3-pump selection and motor selection

please tell me the simple method so that i will do the same

The easy way is to just purchase a new or used press.

I am sure the GlobalSpec database of suppliers/manufacturers can help you out

Go o page 14-15 in the "Formula Section" to see a method of getting information for designing a hydraulic circuit and how to use the information to size components.

This is troubling.

Not trying to be insulting, but what part of the design engineering will you do?

If you can't do the calculations, how is what you do design?

Who will be the engineer of record if someone here gives you a faulty calculation?

This borders on malfeasance.
