Hello,

If you are referering to PVC foaming in extrusion or mold injection then I can help. It is a tandem gas injection system. Super critical fuild like Nitrogen or C02 metered into the mid stream of the extruder or mold injection barrel. If you need to know more you can e-mail me at rslocum@teleflexmedical.com.

Also if you are talking about chemical reaction foam then that would be a catalisyt reaction. Please refer to Lowell UN, MA plastics department Steven Driscol for that composition.

Regards,

There are plenty of simple solutions including bicarb of soda, through medium technology and then high tech involving liquid gases. It depends on whether you are trying to match existing volume products at the cheaper end of the market or targetting emerging applications at the high tech end

Thanks Dear Guest:

What i looking for is the foaming of 3 to 6 pound/cubicft density (50-100 kg/m3) slab. The market is strutural and insulation, both match the cheaper end. Replacing PU in some cases the goal, due to the apparently cleaner operation. On the other hand insulation appications may need foam with low thermal transmition and i guess it may fall on liquid gases tech handling.

Thank you for any additional information you could give,
