Try looking at a Texas Nuclear Alloy Analyzer. The company name is Texas Nuclear and they are located in Austin Texas. I had experience using their instrument on a number of different alloys in the 1980s and early 1990s, but not on aluminum. Worked great for me. Worth a look for your application
I'm not sure what you are trying to solve, are you trying to identify the Alloy of aluminum? What is an aluminum species, are you talking about the type, chemical composition, alloy? Explain!
how can you tell a "marine grade" sheet metal from a regular aluminum sheet metal just by looking at it?
we've purchased a marine grade mist eliminator but we've noticed that salt deposit were evident throughout the exterior surface and discoloration around weld beads.
