The details are - Screw Feeder &Hopper:

  • Capacity: 120 - 150 kg /hr
  • Single screw feeder with Fish-tail die (500mm wide) at the delivery port
  • Heating max. 80 deg.C through hot water or oil circulation
  • Jacketed Hopper to be integrated with the screw feeder
  • Viscosity :
    • at 25 deg.C - 500 cps
    • at 60 deg.C - 10,000 ~ 16,000 cps
  • Density : 1.2 ~ 1.5
  • Heating controls & uniform heating of the adhesive is a must in the hopper & screew feeder
  • The screw feeder should be equipped with Servo controlled motor and PLC controls

Doctor Blade: The Hot-melt Resin will be directed through a doctor blade system for a uniform casting of epoxy adhesive film at 0.5mm thick and 500mm width. The adhesive will be flown to a carrier film / silicone coated paper and the film speed will be <5 m/min.

  • The doctor blade should have internal heating arrangement
  • a heated bottom plate required
  • blade gap (raising/lowering) to be done through micro-screws and wedges by manual method

We are sure the above information will help you to understand our requirement. Please let us know if you need more information.. Kind regards SamMathai

Dear Sam Mathai,

We would like to know if you are looking in for the screw feeder alone or the complete applicator for 500mm width.

If the glue applicator had to be synchronized with any existing system then we need to have detailed information of the existing system

Feel free to contact us for any details:

Melfi Technologies provides systems for manufacturing epoxy resins, however we use the Readco Kurimoto continuous blender. It will provide superior mixing and temperature control when compared to a simple screw feeder.

Both our feeder and blender controls are Allen-Bradley based with all setup and data logging on the PLC. Please forward details of your individual ingredients and we would appreciate the opportunity to forward full specifications and pricing.
