	We recently broke off a water well stem (pvc),by backing over it. I replaced the top 1.5 ft section with ABS. There is is no water running through it. The pvc pipe is just a casing. The reason for the shift is that the heavy wall pipe was unavailable where we are working. Any problem with UV or any structural problems. 	Hello mayt2u ABS is better than uPVC for brittle fracture at low temperature. Tensile strength is a bit lower (pipe wall thicker for a given pressure rating) but this isn't an issue in your application. But ABS suffers more from UV. Might be a good idea to paint it. 	How about 'day-glo' orange or yellow or a barber pole stripe with reflective tape. Clip a 4' fiberglass antenna mast with a small flag on top (: __________________ If death came with a warning there would be a whole lot less of it.

	Actually, a bright blue is the most noticeable color for something like that, because it is a totally different color from anything that would be naturally occurring. It shows up against turf/foliage, bare dirt, even white snow, remarkably well. Makes finding (and avoiding) easier, which obviously is your root cause... __________________ Veni, vidi, video - I came, I saw, I got it on film.
