Nitrocellulose coating

09/11/2008 2:25 PM

We are coating nitrocellose to black coloured fireworks fuse. there occurs a thin fim formation over the fuse. however the coating is transparent. is there anything that can be added to nitrocelluse that may give coloured film over the subject. however such an additive should not retard fire most importantly. pl help me. s.srinivasan

Don't know if this will be any help, but a quick google search on NC Lacquer Dye came up with this link which is a dye that works with NC lacquer. Other than that, see if you can find out what they use to make ping pong balls.

I take it you are a factory trying to produce a fuse product in bulk, otherwise I question why you need to do this.
