wells turbine

09/16/2008 11:45 PM

hi i am back again; i am still researching on Ocean wave energy technology and my area of search is osscilating water columns. i have already designed built and tested a in house model of OWC but i have yet to venture in to the ocean. my next step involves just that. i am looking for a "wells turbine". i need to look at all the sizes of the turbine before i start designing. i already have done a analysis of the wave data in the area. i am looking at building a prototype for absorbing around 10kw. please give me some ideas as to how i can contact a wells turbine manufacturerer.

I ran into that problem myself. I have a Wec that uses a Wells Turbine. I couldn't find a small enough one for my scale model. I ended up using a series of valves to get the same result. Wavegen has one that is about 18kw at about a 30" opening. Let me know torchwall@cs .com.
