I also have to ask if your interest is as a hobbyist or for commercial production? The technology is not as easy as most people seem to make it out to be if you plan on commercial production. There spontaneous development of heterogenous systems from homogeneous systems that dynamically change the process dynamics and very many others things. You have to be very good at Gas Chromatography or Mass Spectrometry and Qualitative and Quantative Chemical Analysis in general. Of course, you also have to be very mathematical to get very far, although you can always get started and sell it to other investors.
