If this stuff is true it kind of explains the lack of safety features on many GE devices.

I don't know why, but I was fascinated by the link to Ernest Glitch's exploits. It took several paragraphs before I realized that I had switched from Edison's journal to a Sci-Fi work. The fact that it was fiction made me feel a whole lot better about the absolute abscence of compassion in Mr. Glitch. I wonder how long Hodges actually did survive.

Sorry, but the quotes were from a biography of Edison. I have read the book, but can't remember the title.

It sounds like Glich, but it is not. Glitch was a bit more over the top. Poor Hodges
