Dear friends,
I have been looking for some missing calculation details or I'll say bit confused what to consider for further calculation. The details I'll brief as under.
There is a bead mill used in many paint, inks, pesticides industries for micronising the size & this is the better option then a BALL MILL. This bead mill consists of a shell in which there is a suspended shaft on which there are 8-9 discs mounted on the shaft with some openings in the discs inside the shell. Inside this shell there is the actual material to be grinded along with water & grinding beads made of (GLASS BEADS,ZIRCONIUM,STEEL BALL etc)depending onthe type of grinding.
This whole system is a pressurised system with an approx.ressure of 2-3kg.Now i need to know the dynamics of the disc design. That what is the importance of the openings made in the disc (Liitle details i know that the openings are made to carry the material along with beads for grinding when it si pumped form one side & moves towards other end) but i want to know that what happens if the particular distance of openings is changed what will be its effect in grinding?,Its pressure etc what are those calculations please let me know.
If you are still in doubt please ask or maill on shreepolymers@gmail.com
Regards,
