Vacuum, Leak and Pressure

10/04/2006 5:10 AM

It may sound stupid, but I'm developing a total refresh of a vacuum sustem (USON 4000 Series), with major improvements, but I can't find the formula relating the value of a leak against the pressure.

Here is some details:

I have a master caliper, with 40cc/min @ 26 InHg. What will be the value of this leak if I change the system pressure to 30-32 inHg?

Can anyone provide me a website or a reference table / formula ?

Thanks!

to my understanding there is no such formula valid for all pressures and all types of leaks. some leaks are just a kind of singular borehole others are made off porous matter. Best to do is to refer to the manufacturer.

a very good reference gain know how about leak-detection is: www.lecksuchtechnik.de the bad news: its in german
