Please I was asked to come up with a design on the manufacture of 100,000 metric tons per annum of Nitric acid by the oxidation of ammonia. I do not know where to start from. Please can someone help me to that effect?

You stated:

"100,000 metric tons per annum of Nitric acid"

For what purpose?

Natric acid is not only used for explosive, but produce fertilizer. ammonium natrate is one of the best chemical fertilizer, which provide plant with N. as well as KNO3, with K.

It has very strong corrosive. its the strongest acid among H2SO4, HCL, and HNO3

this amount can be porduced by a small-middle chemical industrial factory. every country has capability to produce it.

Please pardon me for asking, but educate me on this: Why would anyone ask you to develop a process for the production of nitric acid knowing fully well that you are not qualified to accomplish the task?

Are even a Chemical Engineer? I ask because such tasks are for Chemical Engineers. The design of any chemical process is picnic
