Polyurethane wheel

09/27/2008 5:49 AM

I am in search of polyurethane. It is to be cast into the rim of a 300mm diameter wheel and then machined back with a 2mm grove to accommodate an endless cutting wire, much like a band saw. The urethane must be extremely hard wearing as this wire is traveling at 300km/h and with side load. Is there anyone out there who could recommend a product?

Call these people. They are very good at making custom urethane parts in small or large quantities. http://www.deltarim.com/en/

I was hoping some one would recommend a type of urethane.

I rely on Deltarim's competences when it comes to urethane. It is more complicated than the product type, the process is also important.
