You would be best served getting in contact with a water treatment company such as GE Betz:

For a brief introduction introduction into this topic see:

I am trying to be brief. First get your water analysed, Based on the same it would be pretreatment and post treatment. In case of post treatment - it could be oxygen scavenging as well scale protection.

Dear Surendra,

Chemical dosing its not taken place steam boiler,its taken place before enter into boiler.Normally chemical dosing is taken place water treatment process.I will brief we are taken raw water from canal or river it takes all sustanabale particles so we need to seetle down in this foreign matters that why we need to adding chemicls its called dosing such as ALUM,LIME ...... lime is used to clarifier and alum also added in this clarifier to settle down foerign matters and killing bacteria we can add chlorine also.After that its goes to DM process afer that its feed to boiler through boiler feed water.

You can visit www.ivrcl.com; www.thermax.com;www.doshion.com;

so many companies now looking for the water treatment palnt go and search website you can get lot of process ideas.

thanks

The amount and type of water treatment depends on the initial water quality and the steam pressure.

For high pressure boilers, complete removal of all dissolved minerals, organic acids ansd bases, and silica is the prefered pretreatment. This usuall consists of clarification followed by cation and anion ion exchange, followed by mixed bed ion exchange. The water conductivity should be lesss than 1 mmoh/cm2 and the silica should be less than 1 mg/liter.

Then the boiler fed water should be deairated, treated with an oxygen scavenger and a coordinated scale, pH and corrosion inhibitor based on the reccomendation of a company such a Betz or Calgon.

Boiler blowdown should be set to maintain the chemisrty recommended by your water treatment specialist.
