Busbar distance

Please let me know the minimum distance between phases of 1000A busbars & minimum distance between busbar supports in 440V 3 phase 50Hz system to withstand 50 KA.

Dear Guest,

Hope you are asking for Clarence between the busbars or is it the crepage distance? the clearance is the shortest distance between two bus at different potential. This value will depend on various factors like humidity, cleanliness of air inside bus bar chamber and ambient temperature. The minimum values of clearance and creping distance are specified in relevant IS and BS standards which you can refer with your parameters and conditions. If the bus bars are insulated it will still be different .
