Oil Sector Employment

09/30/2008 3:24 PM

I'm looking for some info on oil industry jobs. I'd like details of what is involved in jobs which mechanical engineering graduates might be interested in.

I started a BEng Mech engineering degree at Robert Gordon uni in Aberdeen and because I got good grades in 2nd year I've been offered a place on the fast track MEng. I wasn't intending to go into the oil sector but this is where RGU focus on.

My background is in maintenance engineering (greasy hands stuff) but now I'm looking to get the MEng and climb the ladder of professional engineering.

Cheers for any advice.
