2 Axis 'XY' Optical profile Scanner for CNC machining.

10/05/2006 5:06 AM

Hello all,

Can anyone help and guide me in the right direction.

I'm looking for a 2 axis optical scanning device that can record the profile of various templates sent to us by our clients. The scanned image will be down loaded into a computer and the machining programmed on the scanned image. The data then fed into the CNC machine and the required profile produced out of glass.

Any assistance in this matter will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Very best wishes

Xentilly

What size are your templates? Any chance they could fit on a (commercially available) flatbed scanner? If so, it's just a sofware problem after scanning.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your valueable input.

Because my clients already have the CNC machines, they will only require the scanner.

The thickness of the material varies from 2mm-50mm. The template are also variable from 35cm x 50cm to larger 2metres x 2metres in size.

Can you please advice me on what to ask and where to look? Your advice and assistance in this matter will be appriciated with ever lasting gratatude.

Very best regards,

Xentilly
